So I actually made two layouts. Count that.... 2! layouts. Both were for submission to Canadian Scrapbooker. I submitted, but whatever. Just proud that I did 2! layouts. So girls, here they are, feel free to comment and critique. By the way, they were submitted for the 'use a candy wrapper on your layout' theme.
Some of you may recognize these candy wrappers. I really thought I had saved more of them, for this specific purpose, but I can't for the life of me find them. So I must have thrown them out. Phooey. So had to make due with these ones.
This layout took me almost 2 weeks to finish. I just couldn't put it together. I made the background hearts our of Lindt chocolate wrappers and they were just so bright and shiny that it was tough to put anything else on the page. But I finally got it done. And I'm quite happy with it. Also happy with the lil' punkin whose posing in the pictures. How cute!

Aw . . . you should have asked me for more wrappers. I have a ton of them! I could have popped some in the mail for you.
I have this crazy idea that I'm going to scrapbook my trip, but a) it'll never look THIS good and b) we'll see if it EVER happens.
Any chance of posting a link to a large-sized version? My old, gonna-need-glasses-soon eyes can't read it. Stupid eyes.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Definitely let us know if you get published, yo!
The journalling is nothing witty nor extravagant. Basically just says the kitkats were brought by you from Japan and a short list of some of the flavours. And maybe you should bring some photos with you to the lake and we could scrap them together! We could put a simple album together over the week you're there? You think? And please ignore any spelling mistakes in that post...due, do...did anybody notice? And perhaps were just too polite to say anything????
I honestly did not notice. I'm not always in full-on English teacher mode, ya know. (Only when I'm at work!)
