Dare I post?????
Yes I do.
Oct 1st was a lovely day. Thought the weather was supposed to take a turn for the worse (it IS fall after all) but it didn't. A lovely 20 degrees today, although it is overcast and does not bode well for tomorrow (I guess fall IS here. No denying it now.) I have so many things to do around the house. Stuff I've seriously put off and really need to attend to, other stuff (laundry, housecleaning), meh. Instead of giving my full attention to these seriously important things, I took Lil'Miss and Mr.Mister out for a walk to enjoy the warm fall air, falling leaves, colours, and fall smells.
We went down into the ravine by our house where there are little single track trails winding through the forest and following a creek bed and explored nature. Or maybe I should say......*Neat-ure* (Heh heh.) It WAS neat! We found some really NEAT stuff!!! Colourful leaves, cranberries, holes in trees, trees that have literally folded over, birch bark, and the best of all.....little stick houses.
Back in the day I would call them forts, but Lil'Miss figured they were stick houses.....just like the one the Little Pig makes in the Three Little Pigs. Yes, Lil'Miss is convinced that the Three Little Pigs live in that forest now. Really, how *NEAT* is that??????
The other *NEAT* thing, was Mr.Mister. I really thought he would dawdle and protest, complain and perhaps scream (kind of prone to that lately....), but he was all game for the walk. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that we were following a path...covered in leaves.....and dirt....and it lead somewhere and he had to get there as fast as he could....over ruts, roots and trees.
He lead the whole way there and almost the whole way back to the parking lot. I think he got tired. But the walk took us a whole HOUR! And there was not much dawdling along the way. And alot of elevation change...and logs to climb over. It was GREAT!

And really, who can resist sliding down dirt hills. Gravity is pretty neat sometimes!!
We could only wish that October would remail this nice....
