There's a card game out, and it's called UNO for little kids. I remember UNO back in the old days. I think we spent many hours playing UNO. Lil' Miss got herself an ages 3+ UNO game from Gramma for Christmas. And now Gramma has taught her how to play it. She seems to be winning....Lil'Miss, that is. I'm wondering if she is a bit of a card shark.....
She understands the basic idea of the game....match colour for colour and number for number.
She gets that the black card allows you to change the colour if you so desire.
She knows that the first person to run out of cards wins the game!
She sees that if she can't play any of her cards that she has to pick one up from the pile.
She kind of gets that everyone else has to have a turn before she gets to go again....
AND she kind of sees what it's like to lose a game...but how fun it is to share winning with everyone. But I did see some pouty faces when she didn't get a colour changing card in her hand. The lip came out and the pouty voice stated her sad opinion about how
"I didn't get a colour changing card"
That's the name of the game Lil'Miss, not everything goes your way every time. But you can still have fun playing. Now to teach her how to play crib so her dad quits bugging me to play....

Just wait till Ellie plays with Baba. If there is an Uno shark, it's her (AND in Boggle AND in Scrabble....)
I think if she can beat Gramma, she is doing pretty good! Don't let Gramma cheat, lil miss!! (or as Gramma says, Gramma's rules!)
G
Aha! Ellie 'skunked' Gramma!
